ESAB® AtomArc® 7018-Mo Low Alloy Steel Stick Electrode in a 10 lb hermetically sealed container comprises of additional 0.5% Mo alloy and is widely applied in the fabrication, erection of boilers pressure piping and tubing along with other pressure vessel applications. 3/32" Dia Electrode is specially designed for low-alloy and high tensile steels of 50 ksi welding yields minimum strength and meets the specifications of ASME SFA 5.5, AWS A5.5 E7018-A1H4R, MIL-E-0022200/7 MIL-7018-A1 and A.B.S.- AWS A5.5 E7018-A1. Electrode used in wide range of steels and is recommended for 0.5% molybdenum steels as well as pipes. Electrode requires preheat to weld heavy sections and is used with hardenable steels that prevent hard heat-affected zone formation that in turn reject tendencies towards quench cracking on cooling.
Features
Electrodes contain 0.5% Mo as alloy addition
Preheat should be used on hardenable steels to prevent the formation of a hard heat-affected zone
Preheat may also be required in welding heavy sections
