- Honeywell UOP Molecular Sieves* are synthetically produced, crystalline metal aluminosilicates that have been activated for adsorption by removing their water of hydration. Unlike other adsorbents, Molecular Sieves have a precise uniform size and molecular dimension. UOP 3A MOLSIV adsorbent is a clay-bound potassium form of Type A molecular sieve. 3A molecular sieve will adsorb molecules with critical diameters up to three angstroms. It adsorbs water and ammonia, but not larger molecules like ethane. *Airgas repackages and markets Molecular Sieves manufactured by Honeywell UOP. This product is a 135 kg drum of 3A 1/16" Pellets that is non returnable

Applications
- 3A molecular sieve is used for commercial dehydration of unsaturated hydrocarbon streams such as cracked gas, propylene, butadiene and acetylene.
