Stanley® Proto® Punch Prick measuring 3/8" is made of S2 steel and is heat-treated for enhanced durability. Punch prick has black oxide finish to help prevent rust corrosion. It has a modified parabolic striking end that helps to reduce mushrooming and chipping. It has a one-piece design for increased strength. It has a reverse taper to help prevent binding. It is used in sheet metal work for scribing and punching starting holes for sheet metal screws. It has a polished identification panel on one side of the flat that is marked with the tool number and size in a black inlay.
